I am one of those people who dislikes the idea of living in Florida. On the other hand, my roommate believes that this is the ideal place to move to. It is easy to see how we could be so different when it comes to our opinions on the matter since there are so many pros and cons associated with living in this state.
One of the main reasons she has for wanting to live in Florida is the weather. She imagines that it has this warm, tropical environment that is ideal for those who do not want to live in a place that is generally cooler. I believe that having four distinct seasons is important, which makes this a place that is not an option for me. In addition, the idea of living in an area that is often hit by hurricanes and tropical storms is not my idea of a good time.
We actually agree when it comes to the fact that there are many different cultures living there, which means that you are likely to have a lot of options when you are looking for a place to get food. There is nothing like being able to eat Cuban, Jamaican, Mexican and other delights all in one place. While I do not want to live in that location, I can see why this would be a huge draw for others.
My roommate is a huge fan of the beach, so the idea of heading to Florida and relaxing on the water while sipping a drink is her idea of paradise. This sounds okay, but there are perfectly good beaches in many other places. For instance, there is one not that far from where we live, and we are located in New England.
People who love a bustling nightlife will certainly like Florida. Cities like Miami Beach are a party waiting to happen. There is no shortage of places to hang out and excitement to be had. People like me who are not really interested in this type of thing will not find this very appealing.
Depending on what your individual preferences are, there is a chance that you may adore the idea of living in Florida, or you may absolutely hate it. Regardless of what you decide, knowing all of the pros and cons should make this a pretty simple decision.
